Mend Rover 75 Today Started Car

How can I fix my rover 75 clutch?

The clutch has been a getting stiffer for a while now, but today when I started it up the clutch went all the way down and I couldn't get it into a gear. Affter the car had warmed up, I wiggled the gear stick around and pumped the pedal I managed to get it into 1st. Anyone got any ideas?
