My Hotpoint WMA63 wont rinse and spin?

I have a Hotpoint WMA63. It does a wash but gets to the rinse and spin cycle and stops - leaving the machine door locked and my washing inside. Have managed to get washing out by draining the grey outlet hose into a bucket.

Any help with what could be wrong and what I should do. Thanks
