Mend Canon IR1600 Problem Error Message

how can i fix my problem?

my canon ir1600 is showing an error message like error 100 so can please help me to fix the problem

can be caused by a small plastic tab on the drum unit (located in left hand side of copier) being broken off when toner cartridge is replaced. This tab activates the laser shutter so it cuts of laser light when drum removed.
The shutter can be cheated at your own risk or replace the drum unit.
