I have problem with my canon ir2700 with the error message E000002-0000?

I have now succeeded in repairing the machine by resetting the error message as per the procedure you told me but the main reason I couldn't succeed last time was because I use the big star or asterisks key which you see immediately on the control panel but after I left the machine for several days and tested every part of the machine which is related with the fuser assembly and found no defective element, I was forced to definitely believed that there must me a way to rest the error message. I was even tempted to dismantle the CMOS battery located on the controller board manually and short it. But luckily today I sow the other small asterisks key rounded by some thing like human head I don't now what coved my eyes not to see that before. Next time please mansion which asterisks you mean and tank you all for assisting me to success

I tried all the error message clearing steps but none of the buttons on the control are responding there is only the shut down button active. It is really frustrating me what else should I do please

CHAPTER 6 SELF DIAGNOSIS

The temperature of the fixing film is as follows:
1. has exceeded 100°C, but does not reach 115°C within 1 sec thereafter.
2. has exceeded 140°C, but does not reach 150°C within 1 sec thereafter.
3. has exceeded 160°C, but does not reach 165°C within 1 sec thereafter.

Main cause The fixing film unit is faulty (i.e., the main thermistor TH1 has poor contact,
or the fixing heater is faulty). The main power supply PCB is faulty.
The DC controller PCB is faulty.

Caution To clear the error, execute the following in service mode:
COPIER>FUNCTION>FCLEAR>ERR.

OK. You will not need to do anything with the fixing unit if it is a mains surge problem. Here is what to do. I am going to tell you how to get into service mode. Please do not changs anything in this mode or you will end up with a cabbage.

OK. press the star button, then press 2 and 8 at the same time then the star button again. do it slowly and you should be in service mode. highlight COPIER, then FUNCTION then CLEAR. From that screen highlight CLEAR and then press OK button bottom right of the screen. Now swith off and back on. This should recover the error as long as no damage has been done. good luck.

Dear Bob I really appreciate your assistance you are right I made a mistake on the model number it is IR2270 not IR2700 I think I was a bit nervous due to the problem because it is only two weeks since I bought it. The electric plug was causing on and off the machine due to poor contact while it was working and suddenly it gave the error message E000002-0000 could you please show me the location of the fixing unit you are referring

first of all I am not aware of a model called an IR2700. Are you sure this is correct? The code e002 is to do with the fixing unit (the hot bit) More often than not it will be ok if reset and has probably been caused by a mains surge. Re list the problem and check the model number and I will reply with reset instructions.
