Can I fix this scratched SD card?

I've used my SD card in a device that has left several scratches on the metal part on the back (the place where the connection between disk and device occurs). Now, none of my devices can recognize the card. I'm sure the memory portion is fine...Is there anything I can do to recover the info? Can I put something on the scratched metal so the connection can be made to my computer or device?

im suuure you moved on after this i mean its been over a year or almost lol but i searched for the same question anddd i just got done fixing a scratched cd with toothpaste and Q-tips yesterday then cleaning it with vaseline, actually works soooo right now i checked if it would work too so i get a knife and i stuck it inside the card in the little hole where it says lock and unlock then i slowly moved it around and popped itopen then put a little bit of toothpaste on the q-tip and stated rubbing it against the metal part where the card was scratched up and i popped it bak in the case and put it in my laptop and it worked :D it was actually readable now.. remember to clean it with a clean q-tip after u do it with the toothpaste :)

I'm sure scratches are not the reason for your card problem, scratches are easely bridged from the reader/device. If the memory card is not recognized in the PC or it is impossible to access the data on it, the controller on the card is damaged. There is only one way to get the data back, unsolder memory chips and directly access their raw data with a programable chip reader. Software can't help, that is a physical damage! For more information search for "recoverfab".
