Dropped a filling hose in fuel tank :(?

Hi,
I have an iveco 5112 daily. Long story short, the van ran out of diesel and i was looking to see if the hose on the gerry can could reach the tank - it fell in!!!
Do you know if this will cause any harm?
Will this plastic nozzle (8 inch long) cause any problems?
What exactly is in the tank (apart from diesel and now a nozzle).
