Alarm Bell installation?

Hi
I am wanting to install an alarm bell (not bell box, just a bell) inside my house. I have searched endlessly for a 12 volt bell, (to go with my accenta g4 system), so could i use a 24 volt bell?
I am assuming that i will have a lower sound output though?
