How do I remove the door seal on a hotpoint wt761 washing machine?

you need to remove the 2 bands that hold the gasket
the first is accessed from inside the open door hole look at 12 o clock position should see a square with a peg gently lever the square off the peg this exposes the 2 ends of the outer wire along with the ratchet clip need this for reassembling the outer band. Its easier to access the 2nd band with the top of the machine removed.
when the top is off look inside where the other band is when this band is undone and slipped off the gasket can be removed the refit is the new gasket fitted around the rim (securely) double check this or it will LEAK, the inner band band clamp fitted and tightened in place then the outer band fitted and the ratchet end gently squeezed together.
