Low water level in syphonic toilet?

The toilet flushes OK but after a short period the water level in pan slowly reduces and not much water in evidence. The toilet is about 30 years but has always worked perfectly and I wonder if there is a simple remedy.......

i have to pull the handle of my toilet two or three times before it will flush, what is the matter with it??
