how can i fix my electric windows?

i have a 1998 mk 1 galaxy, after i had replaced the front disc brakes and letting down the trolley jack, the jack slipped and the car dropped about two inches onto the safety systembuilt into the jack, the car dropped with a heavy thud.a few mins later when road testing the car i noticed the offside front windows were not working,the nearside window went down when i used the button on the drivers side,but would not work going up,the nearside passenger button operates that window.I i swapped the door motor and the two offside buttons, but its still not working. can you help.
