Mend BMW 00 318 Help Thinking Locked

help on alarm blips?

I have walked away thinking my 00 318 was locked with alarm on as ot only flashes the hazard lights..
Can i turn on a tone in alarm to tell me its on ??
1 blip for on 2 for off .. Bmw says i can at am hours cost ?
