how can i fix my potterton combi 80e?

hi i have just replaced the fan in my potterton combi 80e and am now having problems with boiler pressure.
the boiler pressure is set to one bar when cold but when running the heating the pressure just keeps riseing to three bar and the boiler blows off from the pressure relief valve. other than this issue the boiler is working fine. anybody have any ideas.
