how do i disconnect my immobiliser on a rover 214 r reg?

Sometimes the car works ok then the next time i go in the car the dashboard lights come on then nothing. I want to know how to get the immobiliser disconnected as I think this will solve the problem, although any other possible solutions will be welcomed. It is a rover 214 r reg.
