Mend Hotpoint Aquarius Extra Washing Dry

my hotpoint aquarius extra washing machine does not dry?

The dryer section is now emitting a medium pitch whine and is not heating up.
The mechanism's fan in the front of the dryer is turning but no heat is generated

Can you help ?
