Mend Whirlpool LLR9245BQ1 Washing Timer

How do I change the knob for the timer?

The knob on the washer to turn the timer broke.Timer still works,but don't know how to remove the knob. Is the timer and knob one whole unit or can I remove just the knob? If I can remove just the knob without removing the timer, how? The make of the washer is Whirlpool and the model# is LLR9245BQ1

Try holding down the timer dial as you turn the knob counter-clockwise. Hope this helps.
