I have a Piaggio Zip 50, I am unable to open the throttle right up, if I try this the revs die to a tick over level and it doesn't get any faster. When I start going up hill it really struggles and starts to jerk. Can anyone suggest a cure?
Ive tried all of these and none of them work, could it be the clutch springs? They seem to be pretty loose, the haven't been touched they are just standard ones

most likely is the cat has fallen apart in the exhaust if its a zip cat model very common.just replace the pipe of cut it open take out the broken catalyst and weld it back together.it blocks up the pipe and it cannot breathe so it goes slow.either that or its running weak due to a hole in the airbox or pipe that leads to the airbox from the back of the carb venturi.

I'd go for:
new spark plug
clean the air filter element
strip and clean the carburettor...in that order.
