I have a washing machine and my baby boy managed to press lots of buttons and now it seems to be on a test cycle. I rang hotpoint and they said to switch off and them press start until 888 comes on and then press on button.Tried this and it still isn't working can anyone please help!?
thanks
hi, there are 3 versions of software fitted to this model and it depends on what the serial number is. try pressing start/cancel button for a few seconds until all lights come on. then press both the start/cancel button and the on/off button together-you should get the words ' d oFF ' in the display. if this does not work press start / cancel for a few seconds until all lights come on. then press both the start/cancel button and the on/off button and the top left option button together until 'd-oFF ' appears. this should sort you out but if this does not help, call back the manufacturer and give them the serial no.

When 'test' is showing in the display, hold both on/off and start buttons at the same time for about 12 seconds until 'd off' appears. Now switch off the machine and back on again. If it won't reset, then you may need to replace the main module in the back of the machine (£49.90+vat from us). www.emwelec.co.uk
