do you mean outer cv joint or inner ? if outer you will need to remove cv gaiter clips,and if you wipe away grease from middle,where shaft fits you should see an area where centre is ground down this is where retaining clip can be accessed- you will need some external circlip pliers to open up clip then joint assy will come off [you can make do with some long nose pliers and open instead of close them. as for inner casing you usually have to use a lever and give it a sharp tap with hammer to release it. hope this helps
