How can I fix my Neff S5443 integrated dishwasher?

The spinning arms on my Neff S5443 integrated dishwasher appear to have stopped working, particularly the upper arm. I've checked the holes and they are clear. Do the arms recieve a pressured supply or do they just operate off the normal water pressure. Any help would be appreciated.

All

Got an expert in to look at the problem.
The "expert" arrived on time and immediately diagnosed a blocked pipe from the side chamber to the sump. After taking off the front of the machine the pipe was easily removed and was solid with "crud". He cleaned it out, put everything back together and it works perfectly again. Time taken 30 mins - cost £59-50. Still cheaper than a new machine.
He did advise me that it is a dishwasher and not a waste disposal machine therefore all food should be scraped off before putting crockery in the machine. Training programme for two teenage kids now being followed through. He also advised regular use of dishwasher cleaner. £2-59 at Morrisons. Thanks for everybody's time and advice.

Thanks for the info. I have checked the arm and it appears to be clear of obstructions. I feel that the bush you describe is worn out but will look again following your suggestion.

Another possiblility seems to be the holes on the end don't appear to slant backwards as much as they used too - ?

Because of "management" pressure I have an "expert" coming to look at it on Thursday.

I will keep you advised.

I have the same problem with the upper washer arm!
If you undo the upper washer arm it comes away,( you need to put something; back of a butter knife? ; to lock the tube so it doesn't spin when you try to undo it. Pushing the washer arm up slightly helps. Turn the washer arm clockwise (as you look down through the upper tray/basket)) in 2 parts The central "tube" and the actual washer arm. My "tube" was totally worn out where it sits on the tube still attached to the upper basket. I put a tight O ring (bought from my local hardware shop) snuggly above the worn out flange to keep what was left of it flat and in place but after about 10 washes the extreme heat and/or chemicals used to wash have deformed the O ring too. I am trying to source a new central "tube" and will re post if I do find one. I forgot to say. The first time I dismantled the washer arm I found a bits of the worn out flange blocking one of the holes in the washer arm. Are yours clear?
