Where is the filter on a Hotpoint WM51 washing machine? ?

hi if you pull themahine out remove the small panel at the back near the bootom if you look inside you will see a black pipe oming from the drum on to the pump the filter is in that pipe. If it isnt spinning but is draining ok then it could be a problem with the motor brushes if you take the lid of the machine you will see the motor, on each side there will be either a white or blak plastic casing clipped in with a wire going to eah this is your motor bush if you take this out you will be able to see if the carbon is worn down if it is you need a new set of brushes make sure you turn the power off first, hope this helps
