start by removing the ashtray, a couple of phillips screws hold it in
then reach in and you will find two nylon wing nuts just ahead of the ashtray hole remove them
remove the cushion around the shifter then gently remove the woodgrained trim, you may have to move the shifter to the drive position to get enough room to pick off the trim, then remove the screws around the climate control, clock, radio mount
very gently pull this unit out this will give you access to the rear of the clock. Good luck
