Mend Challenger SL8G3 Alarm Bought Owner

No code left for SL8G3 alarm when we bought house, how do we get one?

We bought the house with the SL8 G3 alarm already installed and owner said she couldn't remember the code! we would like to start using it but how do we reset. The control panel says Challenger make.

I assume the alarm was part of the 'fixtures & fittings', if so, was it itemised as not working?
If not, she has to get it put right for you, at her cost, not yours.
If there is a problem go back to your solicitor, that will then cost her more.
