I Bet joe's got a great job with that Attitude. try E-Bay I picked a 15 LCD for £16 . £22 with post . there is always loadsa spares on there too .

I would report the user who left such a damning answer, i am fortunate to be able to find work after being out for 3 months, May i add that would you consider using an external monitor to get you going in the short term,

You should be able to pick up a working Monitor style screen really cheaply - people moving to flat screens and laptops are throwing them away - just plug the monitor into laptop port and use the machine that way until your circumstances improve. 2nd user laptop screens are relatively rare and may well be broken - the council tip may have what you need but the guy with the licence to collect computer parts will want to sell it to you as "seen" with no guarantee.
