It is lacking power then shoots off then looses power again. It is some sort of fuel starvation? Maybe fuel primer or injector pipes?? any help is much appreciated

hi just bought my r reg 1.8 turbo diesel escort van has a non runner the previous owner said all it needs is a set of glow plugs so changed them still no joy so checked if there was power going to the glow plugs seems ok than cracked the injectors see if there is fuel going through which there is but still no joy it cranks over ok but just wont start any ideas thanks

hi craig,try changing the fuel filter, when the old filter's off blow pipe & fuel back to tank,then re-prime to filter,hope this helps,best of luck
