Mend Thomson dt16300 Usb Connection Connected

Anyone got details of how to use the usb connection?

Thomson dt16300 has a usb port next to the TUTV card slot. I connected a laptop via a usb cable and the device was detected but could not be installed - I think it was searching for a driver? Any ideas? What format are files stored ont he HD of the Thomson?
