How can I open the fuel cap cover manually on a Ford Mondeo MK2?
I went to the petrol station this morning (running on fumes!) and when I went to open the Fuel Cap Cover with the lever in the car, it refused to open.
I tried everything to get it open but was unsuccessful and had to give up in the face of a huge queue of impatient drivers behind me!
On my previous MK1 mondeo there was another lever you could pull in the boot, but I couldn't find one like this on my MK2. Is there one anywhere that I have missed?
you can open it from the boot! just behind the wheel arch is two screws to remove the rear most felt from within the boot, if you pull the felt out you will see the cable and release rod, pull that back and the fuel cover should spring open!!
