Mend Acer Aspire 5515 Screen Up

my acer aspire5515 screen is broken so i have it hooked up to a ?

external monitor. today i did erecovery management on my acer and then my boyfriend went and did erecovery management again not knowing i already did it now it wont boot up how can i fix it im not on my acer right now this is my friends computer im writing you on dont know if that matters but just wanted to let you know
