how do i fix my zannussi tumble dryer?

the water tank light is on but ihave empted it and cleaned the filter .the timer isworking but the unit willnot work

looking from the front remove the left side panel and at the bottom towards the back is a float switch.this area may be blocked with fluff or faulty micro switch/float or faulty drain pump (if fitted).
