how do i stop 2006 307cc door mirror bouncing aroeund?

I've searched to find out what a 2006 307c is and came up with a caterpillar excavator which I'm sure it's not, I also know its not a 307c Yammaha piano but the last one is a possiblity that is a Peugeot 307c.
One of two things it's broken after the knock or needs sharp tap with GLOVED hand to knock it back in its housing. Gloved in case the mirror or plastic breaks. If it's hinged like my Peugeot Partners its like it is broken check with a Peugeot dealer spares shop they may throw more light on the subject than me.
