how do i fit the nearside outer cv boot to a renault clio?

the previous post was for renault clio 1.5 diesel 2004. Would imagine most clios mkII would have same driveshaft to gearbox setup whether petrol or diesel or engine size

Job is dead easy. No special tools required. Firstly make sure that the new cv boot is the stretchy type as the original rubber one may not stretch enough.After removing complete drive shaft then take off inner cv boot and plate(take note which way plate is fitted) but leave on the bearing it is tied too,also no need to remove the three legged spider joint on the end of the shaft
Now,with fingers,stretch narrow end of new boot out and,wide end first,feed over the legs of the spider one by one then at the bearing (where the inner cv boot ties to) just stretch out over bearing and then slide along to outer joint.Pack joint with grease and tie down boot.Fit inner cv boot plate and then inner cv boot and then on to car.Job done
Should take about 3 hours start to finish from car driven in to car driven out and that includes refilling with gearbox oil
