188 RLi Alarm Immobiliser (the blue range)?

Hi All, I have an 188 RLi Alarm Immobiliser (the blue range) fitted in my suzukie jlx vitara fatboy 1991 and since removing the battery (it went flat) recharging it and returning it to the car the alarm has stopped working and the car does not start, just turns over!! before removing the battery when I pressed the alarm fob (fob has one big and small button - small button for immobiliser larger for the alarm) the led flashed red and activated/deactivated the alarm, now it flashes blue when i press it and nothing happens. When i put the key in the ignition no lights come on the dashboard for me to use the immobiliser button the car does try to start but never fully does!
