Mend Grill Gas Oven

How do I fix the grill in my gas oven?

I have got quite an old gas oven from the previous house owner. We can not afford to buy a new one. When we moved in we tested the oven and grill and they both worked fine. But when I turned the grill on the other day it did not work. You can hear the clicker but there seems to be no gas flow. I can not smell any gas or hear it. How can I fix it?
