Caravan Hot Water?

You'll laugh at this. I had same problem but it was with my brain that was faulty......I forgot to turn on the 12volt pump switch on the panel.


Not micro switches more likely pump or pump ciruit.
Ensure pump is in water for follwing test/checks.
1.
A quick test of current to the pump is to turn on one of the 12volt lights in the kitchen area then turn on a tap and watch the light see if it slightly dims then turn tap off then on again see if it dims again, if so current is getting to the pump and the pump is either knackered or jammed. Take pump out of barrel turn it over and with small screwdriver turn the impeler wheel gently a few times, then drop it back and try a cold tap, if no to any above then go to 2.
Of course if no 12volt lights then battery flat or control panel on/off switch might be faulty. Even one of the battery terminal may have developed a fault or come off release each one and clean terminals wipe vaseline over both terminals clean the inside ring of the cable clamps then replace on to the battery terminals Red positiv+ black negative -

2. Check if current is actually getting to the pump housing socket using a 12volt car circuit tester with light ask for one at car spares shop. Place the clip in one of the socket terminals and the point of the probe into the other, doesn't matter which way around as if there is current the light on the tester will illuminate.
If current then it's a new pump or test with multimeter if you have one. If no current then 3.

3. Check 12 volt spade fuses usually in control panel or with some older c/v under one of the front bench seats it's a search job as many caravans differ.
The inline fuse casing is pushed together and each half turned in oposite direction and releas so section part then remove the clear glass fuse see if the wire has burnt.
Last one is to check if all other 12volt systems work and on the control panel you have a pump switch that my be faulty.
