Have the SPCH7004 PS2 Black Slimline (V12). Has disk read error, have already replaced laser. Still doing the same. Problem started intermittently and is now every time. Tried once or twice with Console Diagnosis "on" and then it worked, but even that is now not working anymore. Same problem with all games.
Try opening the PS2 and then clean out the inside of it with a duster, then blow any remaining dirt, dust, etc out of it, and then put the lid back on.
