Mend Vacuum Motor Wires

Vacuum wiring?

Attempting to replace vac motor. Just discovered that original wires are copper. Replacement motor has silver wires. Can these different types be connected together? Should it be copper with copper only?

The wires are unlikely to be silver - most probably nickel plated copper but no matter - electrical wires are mostly promiscuous and don't care what they join with - AC/DC Copper / Nickel / Steel / Gold / Silver it's all the same and the currrent will flow without any problems - just make good connections...
