how can i fix my diplomat adp 5834?

my oven comes on even when i don't turn the dial, how can i fix this?

the electric oven comes on but burns the outside of the food but doesn't cook it. is this the thermostat. also there is no light I can see to say oven is on which then goes off when it has reached temperature?? is this right
