blaupunkt car 300 radio/cassette not working?

have vauxhall corsa 1996 with blaupunkt radio. when bought red code light was flashing and said safe when turned on. remved radio to obtain the serial numbers so as to get the code when the radio was replaced nothing happened, no flashing code light and doesnt turn on at all now (has a fuse blown and is it in the radio or a seperate one in the car. looking in the manual all the fuses i can see are not just for the radio . and every thing else seem to be working alright thank you
