my dyson dc01 does not suck correctly?

my dyson does not suck correctly when i clean the carpets but when i use the flex hose it works very well i have replaced all the filters ...help

Check the 2 rubber flaps at the bottom of the flexible pipe - grit gets in here and causes them to open a little.
