Mend Zanussi ZDE26100W Tumble Dryer Drive Belt Replacement

How do I thread a new drive belt on Zanussi ZDE26100W?

I have obtained a replacement belt and taken off the back panel. I thought I could work out how to thread the belt around the drum, pulley and drive spindle but with the drum in position it is still rather slack.
How should it be threaded and is there a tensioning device?

remove the spring that tensions the motor to the base.push the motor as far as it will go inwards,in to the middle of the dryer.fit the belt around the drum and motor drive shaft and then refit the spring.as you pull on the spring to clip it into the base it will tension the belt.job done!
