I also have a Tefal Pro Express Steam Generator which is almost 2 years old. Problem with mine is continuous steam even without pressing the steam button. I'm told the compressor has gone and will need a new one estimated repair is £40 - £100. Disappointing for a product which was so expensive to begin with and has given less than 2 years service, hasn't had a heavy workload, only two people in the house. It seems this is common. It's been a fantastic iron but would I replace with same again ? cost has to be a factor and Tefal it seems is the most expensive. Which? rates the Philips as the best buy.
