Murray mower?

It sounds like a switch problem. But I need to know Does the motor stop right away or does it run just fine untill you put on the mowing blades only? Something you can try first is to find where the switch is on the blade activator arm. Unplug it and see if there is any rust on the plug arme. If there is Take a short pieace of wire and jump the two wires and see if the mowing deck will work . Keep your hands and feet away from the deck. If it works then you know thats your problem.The reason I ask this is I have written to some that there cutting heads are froozen up and it locks up the motor as well. So let me know. And I sure hope that this helps.
