aprilia sr50 ditech spits black smoke?

hi i have an aprilia sr50 ditech 2003 it will not start without jump leads and will spit out black smoke when it is given throttle any suggetions??

The first thing you should do is to try a brand new spark plug - especially if the machine tends to back fire. Also check the air cleaner element for too much dirt.
