I bought an oldish conway cardinal folding camper with a hard top about 18 months ago and we love it but disaster struck last year at a festival. The winding mechanism developed a fault and one of the four corners wont lift when we put the winder in. We dont want to get rid and its probably not cost effective to get it professionally repaired. Has anyone got any suggestions????
Hi the mech that lifts the roof is a cable from the winch goes to a mech call the equilzer where a wire goes to each corner where it pulls a spring like plumbers use for bending pipe in a channel this is what lifts the roof.
it sounds like one of the wires has come disconected.
