Mend Briggs & Stratton 3.5HP Engine Timing

How do i set the timing gear on B&S 3.5HP?

HI i have recently taken apart my briggs ans stratton 3.5hp engine but forgot to check where the timing marks should be, i have put the gear assembly back in, but not sure where the cam should be located against the valves! Please help?? Thanks Jules

Look at the crankshaft drive pinion and you'll see a centre punch mark on one tooth. Look for the same on the camshaft gear. Simply line the marks up when you pop it back together.
