How do I fix a Sharper Image floor lamp ?

This is from Sharper Image, an out of business company. Model No. S1448. Made in China to designs of Sharper Image in San Francisco.
The bulb fell out and the socket is either damaged or I don't know how to re-install the bulb. I can put the bulb in to the socket. The bulb has four small florescent tubes together and has four prongs that go into the socket of the lamp.
The bulb will light up if I push it in to the socket which has what must be some type of spring, as it takes some effort to push in the bulb. If I let go, the bulb just pops out.
The socket has a piece that came off when the bulb fell out. I think I should somehow install this piece into the socket so it will hold the bulb in. Unfortunately, I cannot figure out how this piece should go in - first before the bulb, after the bulb - because anyway I try it just falls out.
So I am left with the piece of the socket always falling out and the bulb falling out.
This model is supposed to supply high intensity light equal to sunlight and is used for reading. For some reason it is VERY heavy, in the base, and will be hard to bring into a repair shop.
One reason I want to repair it myself.
Thank you for reading this and responding, if you have an answer.
PS Since the company is out business, parts probably will be hard to find. If you can tell me where to find Sharper Image parts and service, that would also help me.

I have this floor lamp. There is a dark plastic "half round" plate that holds the lamp assembly in place. The plate has two screws. Without the plastic plate, the lamp assembly swivels downward. Also, the 4 bulb florescent lamp locks into place when you swivel it in place after you plug in the 4 prongs of the bulb. Even with the plastic plate off, the assembly should at least stay in place. But the plastic plate definitely keeps the lamp assembly from swiveling from it's locked position. Hope that helps.

Here's a picture of what I think your lamp looks like...

I believe the base is called GU4 / GZ4 - It looks like it needs to be pushed in and turned a quarter turn to hold it in.

Here's a link to a guy who sells lamp bases...

Good luck...
