Lost heat so replaced the thermostats in the back. But the new ones seem to have gone already ( within 2 days) . What did seem odd though was once it started working again and I did notice that the heat in the drum seemed a lot hotter than normal. Suspect that this high heat is causing the thermostats to go so any ideas what is causing it.
I keep the condenser clean, and made sure that it was clear. Im guessing then it may relate to the fan. How would I best check this?

The abnormally high heat will indeed trip one of the thermostat pair legitimately as a cycling device, and trip the other one as a non-resetable failure device.
Assuming the circulation fan is working correctly then I've usually found a build up of fluff in the condenser which has not been maintained correctly as per usage instructions.
