We have just moved into a house which has been empty for a year and has a Veritas Alarm fitted but no code has been left! Anyone out there knows how to reset without a code in the first place??? There is no power to it at the moment as we haven't powered it up in case the alarm goes off and we can't stop it!!!

Enter the factory-set User code 4321. The error tone will stop. The Power light will be flashing.
Enter the factory-set Engineer code 1234 and press
. All the zone lights will
illuminate.

Thanks J and B for advice - we are trying to get the code through the Estate Agent but there is a Relocation company involved and it has been more than a 1 year since the owners moved out but we are keeping out fingers crossed! Rather than paying an engineer!

If you have moved in and don't have a code in my experience you should call a local alarm company to resolve it, Most alarms will power up straight into alarm mode and require the correct code, It is far better to have an expert look at it so the whole system can be tested, this is highly advisable as you have never seen the system working....Yes it can be defaulted to factory settings but be aware the installing engineer can lockout everybody from changing the program on this model... good luck.
