Topless Shower control?

THe mixer turns fine till you get to where the hot water should come in. After a bit of persausion with a mallet you can get the hot and cold water to mix . It jams at the same place each time. What do I need to do or relace. Thanks

are you turning the control the right way (clockwise) as there is a catch that prevents you going to hot first.?
If you are , take off the label, there is a screw underneath, take it out and the control knob comes off.
remove the circlips around the shaft and you can remove the large cover plate. tray refitting the knob and try the shower again.
