Can anybody help please - Alarm won't set, zone 2 light is on but no apparent reason. Have taken the cover off the window sensor and alarm goes off as it should. When I try to set the alarm I get 3 beeps!
Mystery solved - I went through an electric cable in the garden at the weekend - which tripped the fuse switch, didnt know that the alarm was on the same fuse. The backup battery kicked in and obviously went flat later that night, fitted a new one re set the system and all seems to be working apart from the front and rear door chimes. Thank you for your assistance - if you know how to get the door warning chimes back on I would appreciate it. Cheers Tony.

Hi tony, You have a tamper fault and intill thats cleared or by passed it won't reset, triggered the battery? thats something i have never heard bedore, its either good or flat but really the available amp hour should be checked. it's not just a case of is it showing 12volts dc. Might be an idea to change it anyway if it's not been changed in a while.

Thanks Rob
I didn't think that anybody was going to reply, so I haven't cheched for a while. The original problem corrected itself - how or why I don't know but last night the internal alarm was going off and the tamper light was showing!! The system is now completely dead - no lights nothing, one of the boxes outside started to make cracking noise. I am thinking (no experience) that the original problem of a few weeks ago has triggered the backup battery and it died last night? should i have a go at replacing the battery?

Tony 3 beeps means zone 3 is in fault so why is zone 2 lit?
