Problem Statesman Riding Mower will not start?

I was using by Statesman Riding Mower,shut it off to
add gas.Went to restart will not do anything when
key is turned to start,"no click or anything." Battery
is okay. Full oil level. This mower has a 12HP B&S Eng.
38" cut Mod.#136H660F016-3389-61 Ser#2E026H10049. Hope someone can tell what to look
for,never had this to happen before.

If it is not a safety switch seat,blades,clutch, then take the wire loose from the starter and see if you get 12 volts between the wire and ground when you turn the key to start.
